Queen Elizabeth National Park – 3Days 2Nights
Queen Elizabeth National Park is a UNESCO-designated Biosphere Reserve and one of Uganda’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Known for its diverse ecosystems, tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, and a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, this park offers an unforgettable adventure.
Day 1: Arrival and Exploration
- Morning:
- Depart Kampala or Entebbe early in a 4×4 safari vehicle.
- Drive through picturesque landscapes, including the Equator crossing for a photo stop.
- Afternoon:
- Lunch: Stopover at Igongo Cultural Center in Mbarara or a local restaurant in Kasese.
- Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park and check in at your lodge.
- Activity: Evening game drive en route to the lodge. Spot elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes.
- Evening:
- Relax at the lodge with views of the Rwenzori Mountains or the Kazinga Channel.
- Dinner: A delicious meal at your lodge.
Day 2: Wildlife and Kazinga Channel Cruise
- Early Morning:
- Activity: Sunrise game drive in Kasenyi Plains. Spot lions, hyenas, leopards, and large herds of Uganda kobs.
- Return to the lodge for breakfast.
- Mid-Morning:
- Optional: Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge ($50–$70 per person).
- Afternoon:
- Lunch: Enjoy lunch at the lodge or packed meals for your activities.
- Activity: Boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a highlight of the park. Spot hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of birds.
- Evening:
- Optional: Short evening game drive or relaxation at the lodge.
- Dinner: A chef-prepared meal at the lodge.
Day 3: Relaxation and Return to Kampala or Entebbe
- Morning:
- Breakfast: Start the day with a hearty breakfast at the lodge.
- Optional: Morning nature walk or short game drive around the lodge.
- Midday:
- After breakfast, check out of the lodge and begin your journey back to Kampala or Entebbe.
- Lunch: Stop for lunch en route, either at a local restaurant or as a packed lunch from the lodge.
- Evening:
- Arrive back in Kampala or Entebbe in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your adventure.
